About Us



The Washington County Guitar Program is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans coping with PTSD by providing them with the healing gift of music. Each participant receives a free guitar and ten private lessons, empowering them to express themselves, reduce stress, and find joy through playing guitar. More than just learning an instrument, the program fosters camaraderie, connection, and a renewed sense of belonging—reminding veterans that they are part of a supportive community that honors their service and walks with them on their journey of healing.
